Enjoy your stay in Cairo to see the highlights of this gorgeous city, and then depart to Alexandria the bride of the Mediterranean Sea where you will spend the night & see its major highlights historical & contemporary. Then you will fly to Luxor & visit the east & west Bank in two nights & By Car you will go to Aswan to explore its sites & spend the night in one of its nice hotels then back to Cairo from which you will depart back home

Package Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrive Cairo Airport

    Arrival to Cairo Airport, Meet/ assist at airport by your private GW representative, Transfer to your hotel in Cairo , check in assisted by your tour coordinator,

  • Day 2 Cairo / Tour

    After breakfast start your full day tour with your Egyptologist tour guide. Visit the 4500 years old Giza Pyramids, the only remaining wonders of the ancient world. Also see the Sphinx carved from a single stone representing a creature with a Pharaohs head and a Lion’s body. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Then continue to visit ruins of the ancient city of Memphis and the stepped Pyramid in Sakkara that is the oldest ever construction of hard rocks made by man.

  • Day 3 Cairo / Alexandria

    Breakfast at hotel & check out , your GW Tour coordinator will assist you during Check out & will escort you on your 3 hours road to Alexandria  the bride of the Mediterranean Sea.

    visit the Montazah Summer Palace, walk around and enjoy the Montazah gardens. Originally built in 1892, it was the summer home of the Egyptian Royal family. Lunch is taken en-route at a seafood restaurant

    Following lunch you will visit the fort and Citadel of Qaitbay (which was built around 1480 y the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay. It is believed to be built from the stones of the Pharos lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Nearby is a small navel museum, which was mostly devoted to Nelson`s defeat of Napoleon`s fleet right off the coast of Alexandria on August 1-2, 1798.

    Next is a visit to the Pompey`s Pillar which was built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The Pillar itself is a  9 meters / 29 feet in circumference and it is said that 22 people could lunch on the capital, or flat top of the Pillar.

    The day ends with a visit to the Catacomb of Komel-Shokafa. These tombs were tunneled into the bedrock in the age of the Antonine emperors (2nd century A.D.) for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion. These tombs represent the last existing major construction for the sake of the old Egyptian religion.

  • Day 4 Alexandria / Cairo

    Breakfast at hotel & check out, visit The Greco Roman Museum & the bibliotheca Alexandrina. Lunch in a local restaurant in Alexandria then take the road back to Cairo

    Evening free at leisure & possibility of making an optional Tour in Cairo i.e. Felucca sailing or Cairo Tower visit or Dinner Nile Cruise in one of the floating restaurants alongside the Nile.

  • Day 5 Cairo / Tour

    Breakfast at hotel then Start your full day tour with your Egyptologist tour guide visit the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt`s Pharaonic period, which dates back some 50 centuries & includes the fabulous treasures of the mysterious young King Tutankhamen. Lunch will be at a local restaurant Followed by a visit to Islamic Cairo, see the Fortress of Salah el Din & Mohamed Ali Mosque. Continue to Khan El Khalily one of the oldest & most famous bazaars in Cairo

  • Day 6 Cairo / Luxor

    Breakfast at hotel & check out assisted by your GW Tour coordinator who will escort you to Cairo domestic airport to board your 1hour flight to Luxor. Upon arrival your Luxor field coordinator will be waiting for you at the airport & will escort you to visit the east bank

    Luxor Temple: Your Egyptologist will guide you on a tour of the East Bank of Luxor, starting with the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun.

    Karnak Temple: Proceed to the Temple of Karnak, built over more than a thousand years by generations of Pharaohs. The great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars, covering an area larger than the whole of Notre Dame Cathedral.

  • Day 7 Luxor

    Breakfast: early breakfast at your hotel .

    Valley of the Kings and Queens: Today’s Program will start with a visit to the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, decorated richly, and filled with treasures for the afterlife by generations of Pharaohs. You will also see the Valley of the Queens.   

    Hatshepsut Temple: Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Ancient Egypt’s only female Pharaoh) merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it, as if nature herself had built this extraordinary monument.

     Colossi of Memnon: On the way back to the river Nile, your road passes by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.

  • Day 8 Luxor / Aswan

    Breakfast at your hotel & check out, transfer escorted by police convoy to Aswan. It takes around 4 hours, upon arrival you will be met & greeted by Aswan Tour coordinator & your guide who will escort you to your full day sightseeing in Aswan , You will have the chance to visit

     High Dam: Visit the Aswan High Dam, Egypt’s contemporary example of building on a monumental scale.

    Philae Temple: Take a short motorboat ride to visit the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilka.

    Unfinished Obelisk: Next we proceed to the Granite Quarries, which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples, and still hold a huge unfinished obelisk.

  • Day 9 Aswan / Cairo

    Breakfast at your hotel & check out assisted by your Tour coordinator who will transfer you to Aswan domestic airport to board your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival you GW tour coordinator  will meet you & will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo
